We partner with Tranquilidad Children’s Home in Quimistan Honduras. We plan annual trips to bring supplies and help with infrastructure on the property as well as support the long term missionaries that live there and the community at large.
Roxanne Turnipseed visited First LBK in January of 2021 and shared more about the work that is being done for the children at Tranquilidad. We were able to film her presentation. Each Summer we partner with an organization that needs help from short term missionaries. Families, youth, and adults often participate in these trips and build amazing relationships while learning and growing together as the Body of Christ

Bahamas Methodist Habitat in Eleuthera Bahamas
Various places in Mexico
As we are needed we will respond to help in continued recovery from disasters. When the media and government entities leave an area there is often still lots of long term work needed as communities recover.
We encourage those who are interested in this type of mission to attend an Early Response Training so that you will be on the list to be called to respond when there is a need. These trainings are often offered in the winter and early spring before severe weather season.
Our youth group takes mission trips when school is out to various places in the United States.
