Tessa Armes, Director of Children's Ministry has been at FUMC, Lubbock since January 2017 when she became the Director of Parent’s Day Out. She became children's director in September 2017.

Tessa has a degree in early childhood education from Texas Tech University and a Masters in educational administration from Lubbock Christian University. She has over nine years combined experience working in children’s education and ministry.

Tessa played an integral role in the implementation of programs within LISD that promote meaningful relationships between teachers and students and shares her knowledge and passion for this with our program. She most recently served as Director of Children’s Ministries at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. She has a desire to further develop relationships between the church and families, as well as to continue to grow the hearts of children in a grace-filled community.
