A star among young classical musicians, Monica Czausz Berney has made a name for herself. As a concert organist, Ms. Berney has earned numerous accolades for her impressive technique and musicianship. Her leadership as Director of Music at St. Paul’s Parish in Washington D.C. has generated excitement across church music spheres.

Children in grades 1st -5th are invited to join the First UMC Genesis Children’s Choir for a day of music and fun! Children will participate in the Choir Olympics with musical games, explore instruments, and enjoy a screening of The Prince of Egypt that ties into our special worship song for the Spring. Church Council will have a one hour work session prior to our next Church Council Meeting. We will gather at 4:30 on October 29 for one hour for the sole purpose of working through the stated goals of the various ministry areas. We will explore how those goals fit into the overall work of the Annual Conference to find congruence. Immediately afterwards, at 5:30 PM, we will gather for our regular Church Council Meeting. At that meeting, we will complete the preparatory work necessary for our Charge Conference this year.

Beach Club is a an after-school Christian program for 3rd-5th graders at Bayless Elementary. Volunteers are needed to lead small groups, and all materials are provided. In an hour the group has a snack, relay game, worship music, large group lesson and small group time.
